Herbert Brito
Sales Associate
Few residential sales associates bring together the depth of expertise in architectural history, residential renovation, and real estate that Herbert Brito offers.
Born in Cuba and arriving in Florida through Operation Pedro Pan, Herbert graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School before earning a Master of Arts in Architecture from the University of Florida, specializing in Architectural and Historic Preservation. His distinguished career includes serving as Architectural Historian at the National Register of Historic Places, becoming the first Preservation Planner for the City of Savannah, and being appointed a Design Excellence Peer by the U.S. General Services Administration. He also held the position of Dean of Building Arts at the Savannah College of Art & Design.
Herbert’s award-winning renovation projects—recognized by the Historic Charleston Foundation, The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, and the American Society of Interior Designers—reflect his commitment to excellence in preservation and design.
In 2006, Herbert became a licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate with the mission of helping clients buy and sell historic homes. Over time, his practice has grown to include condominiums, multi-family residences, and commercial properties. His reputation for responsiveness, attention to detail, and successful closings has built lasting client relationships.
Beyond real estate, Herbert remains active in the community, participating in the annual Coral Gables Tour of Kitchens and leading bicycle tours that highlight the city’s historic character.
